Weather & Seasons
The Galapagos are a year-round destination with two broad seasons rather than one best month.

The warm season, roughly December to May, brings warmer air and water, sunny days with short showers and generally calmer seas; it is popular with snorkelers. The cool or garúa season, roughly June to November, brings cooler water from the Humboldt Current, misty skies, choppier crossings and very productive seas that support seabirds and marine life.
Wildlife events follow their own calendars, such as waved albatross on Española from about April to December. For US travelers, holiday weeks (Christmas, spring break and July-August) sell out first, so book early whichever season you choose.
