03 / HOW TO READ IT

What each row tells you

  • Guests — 16 guests means one shore group; 100 guests means up to seven, staggered.
  • Year built — newer is not always better; many older yachts have been fully refitted.
  • Balconies and connecting cabins — rare and limited, so they sell out first. See Galapagos ships with balconies and Galapagos interconnecting cabins.
  • Itinerary lengths — the range of route lengths the ship sails; most ships split an 8-day loop into shorter segments.
  • Sample islands — taken from the ship’s published routes, which change with park permits.

Galapagos Ship Comparison Tool: questions

How many Galapagos cruise ships can I compare?

Up to three at a time, from 76 ships in our records.

Why are some specs blank?

We only show figures that are internally consistent across published sources; when they conflict, we leave the cell blank rather than guess.

Does the comparison include prices?

No. Fares vary by date and channel; email us for current options.

Which is better, a catamaran or a motor yacht?

Catamarans offer wider decks and less roll at anchor; motor yachts feel more classic and intimate. Compare both in the tool.

Can you compare ships for our dates?

Yes. Email hola@galapagosislands.cruises with your dates and group size.

Narrowed it to two?

Tell us which ships and your dates; we will tell you which suits you better and why.

Galapagos is unlike anywhere else on Earth: wildlife that does not run from you, islands still shaped by volcanoes, and a park that limits every visit. Tell us how you like to travel and we will match you with the right boat.
